Utah’s constitutional officers have been officially sworn into office ahead of Wednesday’s public ceremony at the state Capitol.

Because the first Monday of the year fell on a state and federal holiday, the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, treasurer and state auditor were sworn in individually on Monday.

Utah’s constitution requires such action to maintain continuation of executive authority in the state.

The public swearing-in and inauguration ceremony are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The Deseret News (http://tinyurl.com/hjn992o ) reports that in addition to the governor’s inaugural address, the celebration will include performances by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band, along with a flyover by the Utah Air National Guard.
