Utah State Fair put contestants culinary skills to the test at Saturday’s mystery bag cook off.
Each contestant found out their mystery ingredients and got busy making the main course, side dishes and desserts.
The mystery bag contained pork roast, asparagus and green beans, along with other items. Contestants has an hour and a half to create a culinary masterpiece.
Bakin’ Bill Johnson, Organizer of the mystery bag cook off says “To cook on your feet is the main thing and it’s a real challenge but a lot of these people are set up for it. You see a lot of competitions on TV that are similar to that. Chopped and some of these others that have mystery meats and sometimes they can be a little bizarre with the ingredients and we try to make it as contestant friendly as we can.”
