Tuition, fees at Utah’s public institutions among lowest in country

SALT LAKE CITY — In addition to having the lowest average student debt in the country, Utah’s public four-year institutions rank fourth among the states for in-state tuition and fees for 2016-17, according to the annual Trends in College Pricing Report released by the College Board.

The report found Utah students pay $6,580 per year. By comparison, the report found the average published tuition and fee prices for in-state students range from $5,060 in Wyoming and $6,360 in Florida, to $15,450 in Vermont and $15,650 in New Hampshire.
